Early Version made about 1895

Etched door glass with a 1878 patent date.

 

I have at least four Seth Thomas No. 86 movements in my collection as shown below. The second one from the left came from the clock pictured above. This movment is 100 beat while others are 88 and 80 beat. The 100 beat movment was placed in the early and shorter cases.
